Do you know, I think there are people out there who would
pay good money for stuff I produce on a daily basis…
I’m going to struggle to not sound a bit full of myself,
on a day like today – but I’ll try…
2 tips: 7 mentions – 6 winners and a second (beaten by a
tip). OK, I guess I could have done a little better (if I’d ducked the 1:40 race
!) – but not much… I even marked your card with regard to Knock a Hand (whilst
admittedly discouraging you from backing him !)
A £1 accumulator at early prices on the 5 mentions that
weren’t running against tips, would have yielded £1227.50 (without BOG). Even at
SP, the return would have been £477.50.
I would love it if someone had done it – but I suspect
not…
The forecast for Oscars Business to beat Jupitor paid
£97.14 to a £1 stake – but again, I’ll be surprised if anyone had it…
At the end of the day though, you should all have been on
a 10/1 winner, for half a point, so I guess there won’t be too many
complaints…
As I’ve said so many times before though – there is so
much more to this service than the tips.
I know some of you are only just getting used to it – but
I’m in my groove now – you need to be exploiting it.
I’ve always been rubbish at betting myself: it goes
against my nature. However, I have an eye for a horse – and I love the challenge
of unpicking the puzzle of a race.
I need you guys to make it pay on my behalf !
Don’t let me down ;)
What a day for the mentions! Had an acca but it included Sarabad to place unfortunately :( , still though cant complain with a 10/1 winner! And may I wish you a very happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteExcellent , top notch tipping.
ReplyDeleteThanks Birthday Boy
ReplyDeleteHad rather a good day myself due to incompetence
Backed Oscar Business , in my haste to get my bets on only half read the message and saw your comment about having been waiting for Knock A Hand to run and had a nice bet on him as I liked the fact only three runners
Read the message properly later and thought I'd lay it back due to your comments but managed to back it again so rather surprised when I had a look at my Betfair account later
Luck had to be smiling on us today,
You are a star young Sir
Only problem is I thought I had some idea about this game but you are making me look useless!
Long may it continue
What a day!! As I get more time to do the mentions on a Sunday, I played a 50p win yankee on the 4 shortest prices, they all won and returned £238! I then done some little 10p ew doubles trebles and four & five folds, only out layed £6, got back £145. And of course that's without the winnings from the 10-1 shot!!
ReplyDeleteTalk about a Super Sunday!!
Top stuff Andrew!!
Great stuff today Andrew, super picking I didn't get involved hugely on mentions but just shows how u keep saying its more than just a tipping service, can't beat the jumps!!
ReplyDeleteCheers guys – there is some great stuff for me to read there…
ReplyDeleteSo unlucky Brian. I should have made it clear, but generally if I put up a mention in the same race as a tip, it will be because I see that as the main danger (so if I had tipped 2 in the race, the mention would have been the saver).
That said, if you had done a 7 horse accumulator with the tips instead of the mentions, you would have had 6 winners and an unplaced - and felt truly gutted !!
I’ve said many times before Dave, but it is better to be lucky than good – LOL !
That is a cracking story – the likes of which we just don’t hear often enough !
It always seems that when you mess things up, the worst possible outcome occurs – how nice to hear a story of messing things up that has a happy ending J
Another great story Dave (the cat). I am truly delighted to hear that you managed to make some decent money from the mentions.
I know it can’t be easy for you guys, trying to interpret what I’ve written. I am now trying to only list the mentions, which I think will win. Then it becomes your call as to whether the price is acceptable.
I spend such a lot of time producing the write-ups (so much, that I regularly forget to back the horses myself !), it really is satisfying to hear that some of them are using them to your advantage.
Liam, Stephen – thanks.
It was certainly a good day. As I said in the review, hopefully you guys are getting more familiar/confident with what I write and can really use it to your advantage.
After all, we are barely a third of the way through the season ;)
A.
Wow now the ones that aren't even tips or mentions are winning!!!!
ReplyDelete3 in the email this morning all comfortable winners.
I thought it couldn't get any better than Sunday, turns out it did, on Monday!
ReplyDeleteDone the 3 horses in the email in singles and a treble paying 159/1. Your ability to pick horses is truly scary Andy although after 3 years I'm used to it by now ;-)
Today has more than paid for my Christmas and new year so what can I say........ Thanks a million for everything and all the hard work you put into the service. It really is first class. Happy belated birthday by the way I didn't get onto post here yesterday. Look forward to hearing from you tomorrow :)

On the question of losing your SJ account have you tried Betpack. They are a SJ skin made up of Dublin bookmakers. I notice the free bet available on opening an account is only for Irish customers now. The tc's do not say anything about not being able to open an account in the UK.
ReplyDeleteCheers guys.
ReplyDeleteI’m not quite sure what is going on at the moment – I know I can be good – but not quite this good !
I think the most logical explanation is that we are just reaping the rewards for the huge amount of effort that I put in during the first month or so…
There tends to be a bit of a delayed payback with this game – you spot something, but then you have to wait a month or so before you can capitalise on it.
Whatever the reason, hopefully I can stay in the groove (now that I’ve found it !).
I might even manage to tip a few more winners, officially !!
Thanks Mark.
I’ll check them out…
A.
